Okay, I can't help it. I get a little woozy when looking at mid-century homes. My ex mother in law lives in an Eichler. My very own sister (!) also lives in an Eichler.
See, woozy, right? I also swear to God and the heavens and everything in between that I have been inside a Frank Lloyd Wright home as well. It was
gorgeous and huge and so beautifully mid century
. I was in looooove. But I cannot find any information on that home. All I know is that it is somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area and it is privately owned. The owner was a friend of my ex-husband's and we were invited over for dinner and to hang out once. Gaaaaa, what I wouldn't give to see that house again! If you saw my
post from yesterday, you would have seen that I just discovered that I live 6 1/2 miles away from another Wright home. So now I can't help myself. I gotta post photos!!! They aren't my photos (I should be so lucky!!) so I am including the link to the contributing websites in the captions. BTW, this home sold this past summer for a cool $1,600,000. Oh, and it's on an 80 acre lot. My dream, lol!
Can you imagine this yard? And the views in this area are outstanding.
This is an amazing living room. Although I could do without the orange carpeting. Think that would be a sin to tear out?
Ummmmm, and that fireplace! Wow.
Haha, the bed looks funny without pillows. But again, that view. Stunning.
Think you could live in a home like this? Or is it too mid century museum for you?
